Discover the Story of Rose & Grace Jewellery

Hi!

I wanted to introduce you to my brand and who I am!

I'm Sophie, mum to two girls, Lyla Rose and Lily Grace, and I'm based in Ramsbottom, Lancashire.

I have always been very creative, and after taking Art and Textiles at A-level, I went on to do a Foundation Degree in Art and Design at Manchester Metropolitan University, after which I decided to specialise in Jewellery and Metalwork.

I studied Applied Arts: Jewellery and Metalwork at Wrexham College of Art and Design, North Wales, where I specialised in Silversmithing.

I graduated in 2005 and, since then, have been designing and making bespoke jewellery for friends and family and building a portfolio of regular and one-off clients.

I have designed a range of items, from earrings to pendants and brooches to silver trinket boxes, and I have worked with clients to design bespoke engagement and wedding rings.

I have worked with jewellers, selling jewellery behind the counter and in my own workshop in my hometown, where I now work.

I have always been drawn to gemstones and their properties and healing powers, an influence from my mum, a reiki master, and an avid collector and seller of specialist and rare crystals and gemstones.

Through this connection and meeting some of her acquaintances, I developed a keen interest in astrology, the zodiac, and all things spiritual.

I'm a busy mum, and, as many of you will know, it's rare to have a spare few minutes to focus on ourselves and our goals, but as my children have grown a little older (8 and 10), and I am enjoying a little more free time, I have embraced a newfound creativity and the opportunity to be able to spend more time on my own work and growth, which has led to the launch of Rose and Grace and the constellation collection.

I have a lot planned for the brand in the coming months, including a new collection, rings, charms and hopefully collaborations; watch this space!
